About Hedge Fund Law Blog
Hedge Fund Law Blog is a project devoted to the dissemination of basic hedge fund information for hedge fund managers, hedge fund start ups and hedge fund investors. The blog is also devote to helping hedge fund managers consider both the legal and business aspects of running a hedge fund.
Over the past three years our hedge fund legal and marketing team has launched more than 150 hedge funds and we have helped hedge fund managers deal with all aspects of the hedge fund formation process and have dealt with most all of the issues that managers face in their day to day business. Whether you are registered or unregistered, whether you are an industry veteran or a start-up entrepreneur, and whatever your hedge fund strategy, our team has the experience necessary to help you with your issues. We will help you with your hedge fund questions, your hedge fund operational issues, choosing hedge fund service providers, or, in certain circumstances, raising assets for your hedge fund.
We are here to help you and your hedge fund succeed and hope this blog gives you insight into our thoughts on the industry. The chief contributing author is Bart Mallon.
Mr. Mallon provides comprehensive support to investment managers throughout the country. He has extensive experience establishing domestic and offshore hedge funds, private equity funds, and other types of pooled investment vehicles. Mr. Mallon advises clients on registration matters, operational matters and provides ongoing advice relating to SEC, FINRA, CFTC and NFA regulations. Mr. Mallon received his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington. He also holds FINRA Series 3, Series 7, Series 24, Series 63 and Series 65 exam licenses. Mr. Mallon is admitted to practice in California and currently lives in San Francisco.
